"DARE TO FALL" MUSIC VIDEO

DUET

This song was designed as a duet to show two sides of a broken relationship.  I searched YouTube looking for a voice that could sing the female vocal and found Ally Rhodes (now known as Luna Blake).  It must have been fate because randomly, she was also recording at the same studio.  So all of YouTube, I randomly find a girl who just so happens to be recording her album at the same time... at the same studio.

Ally is pretty remarkable in how natural and comfortable she feels in a studio.  She would be in the vocal booth looking at stuff on her phone while listening to the song, and then all of a sudden once her moment to sing was up, she'd lean into the mic and deliver the most amazing notes with extraordinary ease.  A funny story about that night was that everyone in the studio got snowed in by a blizzard.  Me and my producer friend, JP3, decided to make a break for it in the middle of the night, which you can see some footage about that at the end of this video.

VIDEO SHOOT

My friend since the beginning of me doing music, Adam Slechta, was in his final year of school and needed a project to knock out.  We decided on a music video.  Originally, we were actually going to film "Titans," but that morning I woke up with this overwhelming sense to film "Dare to Fall."  This is the original cut before Ally joined onboard to sing. It was freezing and windy that day, but Adam and the crew were troopers for this run & gun, no storyboard, style music video.
